So-Cal or No-Cal.....
That is the question! HA! Been seeing some interesting "Nor Cal Sucks" bumperstickers popping up around town..as one burger friendly famous LA mistress would say: "Ohhhh, that's hot".
Good grief, if they think Northern California is bad, I'd love to see what they think about Michigan! Peroxide rage!

Coming from a former N. Ca resident (then 2 years in San Diego, now in the hell that is Michigan), I saw Northern California. Southern CA sucks. There is nothing good about it once you're inland a bit. I'd even go so far as to say I'd rather live here in Michigan than S. Ca. GASP!!!

Sarah (is this kevertis?), I understand your concern about s. cal ragging on n. cal, I don't even analzye it, it's too funny..but, Michigan rather than S. Cal? Uhh, that's a stretch. A big stretch.
Here's an excercise: get up, go to the window, look outside, and tell me what you see. If it's gloom and doom and it's not green and blue skies, we have a problem, houston.

This is just Sarah (you don't know me, I stumbled on your blog and enjoy reading of your travels).
Yeah, I can look out my window and see some grey and snow. But I was just in S. Ca at Christmas, and when I looked out the window there, I saw smog and strip malls. The worst air quality in the country is right there.
Granted, I'd move back to SF any day, but I'm not a millionaire (or a free spririted young person like yourself). So here I am. Amongst the snow. And the people who don't know how to drive. And if you're going to be anywhere in Michigan, Ann Arbor isn't so bad.
Now stop taunting me before I change my mind! :)

The Nor-Cal vs. So-Cal fight. It's funny how all of us who commented here have been there and done that (the Midwest, Nor-Cal, and So-Cal).
It's all a silly territorial battle. I think California should just secede from the rest of the US and then split up to become New Hawaii.
