Forgotten Gluttony..

Best Sushi in LA : Katsu of Manhattan Beach...
And I'm not just saying that because of the 99 cent beers during happy hour;) Seriously, their spicy tuna is ridiculous.

dang... you're making me drool.

But ADD and I agree - best sushi is at the Tsukiji fishmarket in Japan - 6am, sitting in a dingy alley on flipped beer cases with the fishermen for the morning grub. Scarfing down the freshest little fishies before they get marked up ridiculously for the exported truck version in Ginza. These guys don't look it, but they are eating gourmet. Doesn't get fresher nor cheaper than that.

And for the freshest uni (sea urchin), gotta' travel North to Hokkaido's Rebun Island, where the little orange delicacies melt deliciously on your tongue like nothing you've ever had before. The Okhotsk's little gem.

Can you suck marrow from a bone with a straw, and compliment that with some century eggs too?
