I hope you are referring to the huge waves of soft, golden sand type of desert. Not the Curse every 5 minutes Prickly Pear kind. This picture actually caused me several moments of pain. I had stepped on a dead piece of cactus and the spikes went through my shoe! Then, leaning over to try and pull it out, I got pricked again on my leg. Each time I got the chills and was reminded "this ain't a place for man". Can't wait to go to Egypt...
